Hankook Motorsport personnel recently completed a very successful tarmac tyre test at a race circuit in Finland with Toni Gardemeister, using the same Fabia S2000 car as used in the IRC Ypres rally. Hankook tyre technicians worked with TGS Team chassis specialists to dial in new tarmac tyres, with great results. Mike Patterson, Hankook Motorsport Manager,  reported that he “was very satisfied with the extra advantage found in testing, and, more importantly, Toni Gardemeister was very happy with the outcome of the week long test”.

The next round of the IRC Rally championship (6^th round) takes place in Acores (Portugal) 14-16^th July on Gravel, followed by the Barum Czech Rally Zlin in the Czech Republic on 26-28^th August 2011. This rally will be on tarmac.
