20 Year Old Jonny Leonard is the 2010 Hankook Northern Ireland Rally Championship, Junior Prize Winner. Starting from an early age, Jonny has achieved class and championship victories throughout his time in motorsport and now ranks as one of Northern Irelands brightest rally prospects.

I have had an interest in Motorsport all my life. Starting with quad racing when I was just 6 years old and progressing to events ran by the Rallysport Association in a Suzuki Swift. I have even turned my hand to navigating for my father however my passion in motorsport lies in the drivers seat…

Winning a Junior Autocross Campionship in 08 gave me the belief that i had the talent to succeed in motorsport, and having ‘learned the ropes’ in a Nissan micra the progression to the Northern Ireland rally championship has proved very successful. With the generous support from the family business F.A.L. Hire, myself and Jackie secured class honours in the NI Rally Championship in 2010.

We also put in a strong effort to win the Hankook Junior Prize Drive defeating a strong field of competition to win the lucrative prize of a fully paid drive at the 2011 IRC Ypres Rally in Belgium.

2008: Northern Ireland Rally championship- 5th in Class 3
