Team Hankook Ready for Prodrift Round 2

Posted on Thursday 27th May 2010

This weekend, May 28th & 29th, Team Hankook will return to drfting competition as the 2010 Prodrift Series rolls into Punchestown Co.Kildare for the second championship round of the year.
Following a solid start to the 2010 season, both Hankook drivers Alan Lenihan & Alan Sinnott can look forward to the challenge having both performed excellently at the opening event in April.

For Alan Lenihan this track should suit his recently improved Nissan Silvia 13. Now enjoying more power from a Couture De Auto built engine, the Cork driver collected a podium finish at this event in 2009. Featuring long sweeping curves where high power and excelent traction is required, Lenihan will arrive at Prodrift Punchestown better equipped than ever before.

Team Hankook new comer Alan Sinnott wil also be looking to maintain his good form at Round 2. Currently lying 3rd in the 2010 championship following his podium finish at Round 1 in Cork, Sinnott counts this track as a home venue. Equiped with Hankok Ventus Rs2 tyres, Sinnott will again hope to deliver a  strong performance that will see the Carlow driver remain in touch with the overall Championship lead.

Commenting in advance of the event, Hankook Ireland Manging Director Niall Murray said “we were extremely happy with the team performance at round 1 in Fermoy.  Punchestown however is a completely different challenge but we are confident that the drivers and team are well equiped to challenge for top honours. We are looking forward to the weekend”.

Team Hankook drivers will predominantly use the Ventus RS2 tyre for competition in Punchestown however, should the track surface change, Hankook tyre technicians are equipped with K104 and K110 V12 Evo  to ensure both drivers retain ultimate grip under any conditions.

Tickets for  Prodrift at Puncheston can be purchased online or alternatively at the gate. For further information see www.prodriftseries.com.
