Team Hankook drifter Alan Sinnott claimed his third consecutive Prodrift podium last Sunday with another third place overal finish at Championship Round 3. Taking place at a brand new custom venue adjacent to the City West Exhibition Centre in Saggart, County Dublin, the Carlow driver steered his Hankook shod Toyota Corolla to a well deserved third place trophy.
Following a lucky escape with the unforgiving perimeter wall during qualification, Sinnott secured a strong position in the all important Top16 knockout competition. From there the Hankook Corolla defeated Dan Moorehead, Christy Carpenter and Chris Brady en route to his latest podium position.

Battling with an unpredictable surface, Team Hankook supplied Sinnott with comprehensive tyre management which culminated in a change from Ventus RS2 to a Ventus V12 EVO. This change proved critical in Sinnotts’ ability to out pace his opponents around the challenging Prodrift Course.
Speaking after the event Alan Sinnott was quick to point out the importance of his Hankook Tyres. “The wider V12 Evo tyre has transformed the car. We now have immediate traction and greater speed. My aim was to finish in the Top 4, but to collect another trophy is a huge bonus”.

Niall Murray of Hankook Tyres echoed Sinnotts’ sentaments and was full of praise for the Carlow driver. “It was a great team effort this weekend and to come away with another podium result is a great reward for everyone associated with the team. As Alan becomes more familiar with our tyres, his performances are improving dramatically which in itself is extremely satisfying”.
Alan Sinnott now lies in third position overall in the 2010 Prodrift Ireland Series. The next championship round will take place at Mondello Park on September 4th & 5th at the Japfest Event. Sinnott recorded his first Prodrift victory at this venue in 2009 and will no doubt be pushing for more silverwear at the penultimate Prodrift event of 2010.
